Thirty-One...

After 31 years of existence, I decided to blog. Why now? Why not! Is it too late? I don't think so. I have no experience whatsoever in blogging so please bear with me. Not really sure if there is such a thing as the right way to blog. If there is, let me know ok? I'm a newbie in this sort of thing.

You might be interested to know why I decided to do this. I'm not really fond of writing and I'm not even sure if I can sustain this over time but I decided to start blogging because I was inspired. Inspired by 2 of my favorite bloggers, Anton Diaz of OAP (http://www.ourawesomeplanet.com/) and very recently Senator Pia Cayetano's blog site (mydailyrace.blogspot.com). Thank you!

I know I still have a lot to learn when it comes to blogging, so this is still a work in progress. I'm pretty sure as time goes by I will be able to improve. I might even add some images, but for now, I'm satisfied with just being able to start.

I turned 31 today and I thank the Lord for giving me another year full of blessings and love. It rained the whole day but I take that as God's way of showering me with even more blessings.

I'll end my first ever post with 3 of my favorite quotes I recently read in the August copy of Men's Health Philippines about the smartest things ever said about fatherhood:

  • "It is admirable for a man to take his son fishing, but there is a special place in heaven for the father who takes his daughter shopping." - John Sinor
  • "A man that doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man." - Marlon Brando as Don Corleone in the Godfather
  • "Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter. In love to our wives there is desire; to our sons, ambition; but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express." - Joseph Addison

I have a daughter and that last quote is so true!
